The “Pause Button”

Have you ever felt like you are rushing the shit out of your life? Yeah, we actually feel that daily right? That’s the thing. We are all running in a race we know nothing about. We want money, we want to get things done on time, we always want savings, we want a lavish life and happiness everywhere we go, we want respect, we want relationships, we want marriage, we want kids, we want people to like us..uff!! Does the list seem too long isn’t it? “Of course it is idiot!!” is what you are gonna say from the corner in a not-so-funny tone. Well, lemme tell you something. We almost forgot to “take a break” from everything we do. We lost that moment of “pause". Yes, somewhere along with this flow of list, we lost it. Can you believe that it’s 2010 10 years back and it’s already been 10 years! That's stupid but you also know what I mean right? Time flies! No, actually time flew away from the gaps of our fingers and we didn’t know a thing. Why? It’s because we got with the flow. We got with the flow of our routine, our studies, our colleges, schools, exams, “ what do people think" stuff in between (this thought of course is mandatory till now), etc. So, life got bored and it ran away. Just like that.

Now let’s get into another scenario. You want to get things done. You somehow manage to get stressed out in the process and the things get completed in the process. But what are you doing to achieve the end result? Stressing the shit out of yourself.

I mean, take a pause man! Not only in one scenario but in every damn scenario of life. Take a pause. Learn to observe the life around you instead of going with the flow. Life anyways is going to be over. So grab it and feel every ounce of it before it slips away. Not only this, when in fear, when you are about to make a decision when things get tough when the brain accelerates at a faster pace. Just take a pause. Inhale life, observe life and let it sink in. We in the process of this racing brain and racing lifestyle have become so superficial that we don’t know what it is to take a pause. We don’t know what it is to just “be". We have forgotten and who knows we might even feel restless to take a pause. But it’s okay. It’s okay to stay calm and just be sometimes and it is indeed necessary to take a pause as it helps you while taking a crucial decision. It might help you build a deeper connection with yourself or it might even help you change your perspective of your lifestyle. So, practice this.

Whenever your brain gets accelerates or whenever your life feels like it’s getting at a faster pace or whenever you feel like you are rushing things, just whisper to your heart

“ Let’s chill out for some time buddy, you seem tired!”
